Leviticus 25:39-55
39And ifH3588 thy brotherH251 be waxen poorH4134 with thee, and sellH4376 himselfH3808 unto thee; thou shalt notH3808 makeH5647 him to serveH5647 as a bondservant: 40as an hiredH7916 servantH7916, and as a sojournerH8453, he shall be with thee; he shall serveH5647 with thee unto the yearH8141 of jubile: 41then shall he goH3318 outH3318 from thee, he and his childrenH1121 with him, and shall returnH7725 unto his ownH272 familyH4940, and unto the possessionH272 of his fathersH1 shall he returnH7725. 42For they are my servantsH5650, whichH834 I broughtH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714: they shall notH3808 be soldH4376 as bondmen. 43Thou shalt notH3808 ruleH7287 over him with rigour; but shalt fearH3372 thy GodH430. 44And as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whichH834 thou shalt have; of the nationsH1471 that are roundH5439 aboutH1961 youH834, of them shall ye buyH7069 bondmen and bondmaids. 45MoreoverH1571 of the childrenH1121 of the strangers that do sojourn among youH834, of them shall ye buyH7069, and of their familiesH4940 that are with youH834, whichH834 they have begottenH3205 in your landH776: and they shall be your possessionH272. 46And ye shall makeH5647 them an inheritanceH5157 for your childrenH1121 afterH310 youH3808, to hold for a possessionH272; of them shall ye takeH3423 your bondmen for everH5769: but over your brethrenH251 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 ye shall notH3808 ruleH7287, one over anotherH251, with rigour. 47And ifH3588 a strangerH1616 or sojournerH8453 with thee be waxen rich, and thy brotherH251 be waxen poorH4134 besideH3027 him, and sellH4376 himselfH3027 unto the strangerH1616 or sojournerH8453 with thee, or to the stock of the stranger’sH1616 familyH4940: 48afterH310 that he is soldH4376 he may be redeemedH1350; one of his brethrenH251 may redeemH1350 him: 49or his uncleH1730, or his uncle’sH1730 sonH1121, may redeemH1350 him, or anyH176 that is nigh of kin unto him of his familyH4940 may redeemH1350 him; or ifH176 he be waxen rich, he may redeemH1350 himselfH3027. 50And he shall reckon with him that boughtH7069 him from the yearH8141 that he soldH4376 himselfH3117 to him unto the yearH8141 of jubile: and the priceH3701 of his saleH4465 shall be according unto the numberH4557 of yearsH8141; according to the time of an hiredH7916 servantH7916 shall he be with him. 51IfH518 there be yet manyH7227 yearsH8141, accordingH6310 unto them he shall giveH7725 backH7725 the priceH3701 of his redemptionH1353 out of the moneyH3701 that he was boughtH4736 for. 52And ifH518 there remainH7604 but fewH4592 yearsH8141 unto the yearH8141 of jubile, then he shall reckon with him; accordingH6310 unto his yearsH8141 shall he giveH7725 backH7725 the price of his redemptionH1353. 53As a servantH7916 hiredH7916 yearH8141 by yearH8141 shall he be with him: he shall notH3808 ruleH7287 with rigour over him in thy sightH5869. 54And ifH518 he be notH3808 redeemedH1350 by theseH428 meansH518, then he shall goH3318 outH3318 in the yearH8141 of jubile, he, and his childrenH1121 with him. 55For unto meH589 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 are servantsH5650; they are my servantsH5650 whomH834 I broughtH3318 forthH3318 outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714: I am the LORDH3068 your GodH430.
