Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 9:7-13
7Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, uponH5307 the throne of DavidH7971, and uponH5307 his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with judgmentH1697 and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORDH136 of hosts shall perform this.
8The Lord sentH559 a wordH559 into JacobH559, and it hath lighted uponH3427 IsraelH5971.
9And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in pride and in stoutness of heart,
10The bricks are fallen, but we will build with hewn stone: the sycomores are cut downH5921, but we will change them intoH5921 cedars.
11Therefore the LORD shall setH7725 upH853 on highH5186 againstH3027 him the adversaries of Rezin, and shall stir upH853 his enemies;
12the Syrians beforeH5704, and the Philistines behind, and they shall devour IsraelH5971 with open mouth. For allH5704 this his anger is notH3808 turnedH7725 awayH7725, but his hand is stretched outH853 stillH7725.
13Yet the people hath not turned unto him that smote them, neither have they sought the LORDH3068 of hosts.
