Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 45:1-13
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 to his anointedH4899, to CyrusH3566, whoseH834 rightH3225 handH3225 I have holden, to subdueH7286 nationsH1471 beforeH6440 him, and I will loose the loinsH4975 of kingsH4428; to openH6440 the doorsH1817 beforeH6440 him, and the gatesH8179 shall notH3808 be shutH5462;
I will go beforeH6440 thee, and makeH3474 the rugged placesH1280 plain: I will breakH7665 in piecesH7665 the doorsH1817 of brass, and cutH1438 in sunder the barsH1280 of ironH1270:
and I will giveH5414 thee the treasuresH214 of darknessH2822, and hiddenH4301 riches of secretH4565 placesH4565, that thou mayest knowH3045 that I am the LORDH3068, which callH7121 thee by thy nameH8034, evenH3588 the GodH430 of IsraelH3478.
For JacobH3290 my servant’sH5650 sakeH4616, and IsraelH3478 my chosenH972, I have calledH7121 thee by thy nameH8034: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast notH3808 knownH3045 meH7121.
I am the LORDH3068, and there is noneH369 elseH5750; beside meH589 there is noH3808 GodH430: I will girdH247 thee, thoughH369 thou hast notH3808 knownH3045 meH589:
that they may knowH3045 from the risingH4217 of the sunH8121, and from the westH4628, that there is noneH369 beside meH589: I am the LORDH3068, and there is noneH369 elseH5750.
I form the lightH216, and createH1254 darknessH2822; I makeH6213 peaceH7965, and createH1254 evilH7451; I am the LORDH3068, that doeth allH3605 theseH428 things.
Drop downH5140, ye heavensH8064, from aboveH4605, and let the skiesH7834 pourH5140 downH5140 righteousnessH6666: let the earthH776 openH6605, that they may bring forthH6779 salvationH3468, and let her causeH6664 righteousnessH6666 to springH6779 upH6779 togetherH3162; I the LORDH3068 have createdH1254 it.
WoeH1945 unto him that striveth with his MakerH3335! a potsherdH2789 among the potsherdsH2789 of the earthH127! shall the clayH2789 sayH559 to him that fashioneth it, WhatH4100 makest thou? or thy workH6467, He hath noH369 handsH3027?
WoeH1945 unto him that saith unto a fatherH1, WhatH4100 begettest thou? or to a womanH802, with whatH4100 travailest thou?
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478, and his MakerH3335: AskH7592 meH5921 of the things that are to comeH857 concerning my sonsH1121, and concerning the workH6467 of my handsH3027, commandH6680 ye meH5921.
I have madeH6213 the earthH776, and createdH1254 manH120 uponH5921 it: I, evenH6213 my handsH3027, have stretchedH5186 outH5186 the heavensH8064, and allH3605 their hostH6635 have I commandedH6680.
I have raised him upH5782 in righteousnessH6664, and I will makeH3474 straightH3474 allH3605 his waysH1870: he shall buildH1129 my cityH5892, and he shall letH7971 my exilesH1546 goH7971 freeH7971, notH3808 for priceH4242 norH3808 rewardH7810, saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
