Revised Version 1895
Isaiah 32:1-8
BeholdH2005, a kingH4428 shall reignH4427 in righteousnessH6664, and princesH8269 shall ruleH8323 in judgmentH4941.
And a manH376 shall be as an hidingH5643 placeH1961 from the windH7307, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of waterH4325 in a dryH6724 placeH1961, as the shadowH6738 of a greatH3515 rockH5553 in a wearyH5889 landH776.
And the eyesH5869 of them that seeH7200 shall notH3808 be dim, and the earsH241 of them that hearH8085 shall hearken.
The heartH3824 also of the rash shall understandH995 knowledgeH3045, and the tongueH3956 of the stammerersH5926 shall be ready to speakH1696 plainly.
The vile person shall be noH3808 moreH5750 calledH7121 liberal, norH3808 the churl saidH559 to be bountiful.
For the vile personH5315 will speakH1696 villany, and his heartH3820 will work iniquityH205, to practise profaneness, and to utterH1696 errorH8442 againstH413 the LORDH3068, to makeH6213 emptyH2637 the soulH5315 of the hungryH7457, and to cause the drink of the thirstyH6771 to fail.
The instrumentsH3627 also of the churl are evilH7451: he deviseth wickedH7451 devices to destroy the meek with lyingH8267 wordsH561, evenH34 when the needyH34 speaketh rightH4941.
But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and in liberal things shall he continueH6965.
