Revised Version 1895
Deuteronomy 29:23-28
23and that the wholeH3605 landH776 thereof is brimstone, and salt, and a burning, that it is notH2088 sown, nor beareth, nor anyH3605 grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, whichH1471 the LORDH3068 overthrew in his angerH639, and in his wrathH639:
24evenH853 all the nationsH776 shall sayH559, Wherefore hath the LORDH3068 done thus unto this landH776? whatH834 meaneth the heat of this greatH430 anger?
25Then men shall say, BecauseH834 they forsook the covenant of the LORD, the GodH430 of their fathers, whichH834 he madeH3045 with them when he brought them forthH3045 outH3045 of the land of Egypt;
26and wentH935 and served otherH2088 gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew notH2088, and whom he had notH2088 given unto them:
27therefore the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 was kindled againstH5921 this landH776, to bring uponH5921 it allH3117 the curse that is written in this book:
28and the LORDH3068 rooted them outH3605 of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in greatH430 indignation, and cast them intoH1540 another land, as at this day.
