2And it came to pass, when they had eaten upכִּלּוּ֙ לֶאֱכֹ֣לki.Lu le.'e.KholH398 H3615the foodהַשֶּׁ֔בֶרha.She.verH7668which they had brought outהֵבִ֖יאוּhe.Vi.'uH935of Egyptמִמִּצְרָ֑יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֔ם'a.vi.HemH1saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Go againשֻׁ֖בוּShu.vuH7725,buyשִׁבְרוּ־shiv.ru-H7666us a littleמְעַט־me.'at-H4592foodאֹֽכֶל׃'O.khelH400.

3And Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063spakeוַיֹּ֧אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto him, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,The manהָאִ֤ישׁha.'IshH376did solemnlyהָעֵ֣דha.'EdH5749protestהֵעִד֩he.'IdH5749unto us, sayingלֵאמֹר֙le.MorH559,Ye shall not seeתִרְא֣וּtir.'UH7200my faceפָנַ֔יfa.NaiH6440,exceptבִּלְתִּ֖יbil.TiH1115your brotherאֲחִיכֶ֥ם'a.chi.KhemH251be with you.

4If thou wiltיֶשְׁךָ֛yesh.KhaH3426sendמְשַׁלֵּ֥חַme.sha.Le.achH7971our brotherאָחִ֖ינוּ'a.Chi.nuH251with us, we will go downנֵרְדָ֕הne.re.DahH3381and buyוְנִשְׁבְּרָ֥הve.nish.be.RahH7666thee foodאֹֽכֶל׃'O.khelH400:

5But if thou wilt not sendמְשַׁלֵּ֖חַme.sha.Le.achH7971him,we will not go downנֵרֵ֑דne.RedH3381:for the manהָאִ֞ישׁha.'IshH376saidאָמַ֤ר'a.MarH559unto us, Ye shall not seeתִרְא֣וּtir.'UH7200my faceפָנַ֔יfa.NaiH6440,except your brotherאֲחִיכֶ֥ם'a.chi.KhemH251be with you.

6And Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559, Wherefore dealt ye soillהֲרֵעֹתֶ֖םha.re.'o.TemH7489with me, asto tellלְהַגִּ֣ידle.ha.GidH5046the manלָאִ֔ישׁla.'IshH376whether ye had yet a brotherאָֽח׃'AchH251?

8And Judahיְהוּדָ֜הye.hu.DahH3063saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478his fatherאָבִ֗יו'a.VivH1,Sendשִׁלְחָ֥הshil.ChahH7971the ladהַנַּ֛עַרha.Na.'arH5288with me, and we will ariseוְנָק֣וּמָהve.na.Ku.mahH6965and goH3212;that we may liveוְנִֽחְיֶה֙ve.nich.YehH2421,and not dieנָמ֔וּתna.MutH4191, both we, and thou, andalso our little onesטַפֵּֽנוּ׃ta.Pe.nuH2945.

9I will be suretyאֶֽעֶרְבֶ֔נּוּ'e.'er.Ve.nuH6148for him; of my handמִיָּדִ֖יmi.ya.DiH3027shalt thou requireתְּבַקְשֶׁ֑נּוּte.vak.She.nuH1245him: ifH518I bringהֲבִיאֹתִ֤יוha.vi.'o.TivH935him notH518unto thee, and setוְהִצַּגְתִּ֣יוve.hi.tzag.TivH3322him before theeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440,then let me bear the blameוְחָטָ֥אתִֽיve.cha.Ta.tiH2398for everהַיָּמִֽים׃hai.ya.MimH3117:

10For exceptלוּלֵ֣אlu.Le'H3884we had lingeredהִתְמַהְמָ֑הְנוּhit.mah.Ma.he.nuH4102,surely now we had returnedשַׁ֖בְנוּShav.nuH7725this second timeפַעֲמָֽיִם׃fa.'a.Ma.yimH6471.

11And their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֗ם'a.vi.HemH1Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, If it must beso nowאֵפוֹא֮'e.fO'H645,doעֲשׂוּ֒'a.SuH6213this; takeקְח֞וּke.ChuH3947of the best fruitsמִזִּמְרַ֤תmi.zim.RatH2173in the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776in your vesselsבִּכְלֵיכֶ֔םbikh.lei.KhemH3627,and carry downוְהוֹרִ֥ידוּve.ho.Ri.duH3381the manלָאִ֖ישׁla.'IshH376a presentמִנְחָ֑הmin.ChahH4503,a littleמְעַ֤טme.'AtH4592balmצֳרִי֙tzo.RiH6875,and a littleוּמְעַ֣טu.me.'AtH4592honeyדְּבַ֔שׁde.VashH1706,spicesנְכֹ֣אתne.KhotH5219,and myrrhוָלֹ֔טva.LotH3910,nutsבָּטְנִ֖יםba.te.NimH992,and almondsוּשְׁקֵדִֽים׃u.she.ke.DimH8247:

12And takeקְח֣וּke.ChuH3947doubleמִשְׁנֶ֖הmish.NehH4932moneyוְכֶ֥סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701in your handבְיֶדְכֶ֑םve.yed.KhemH3027;and the moneyהַכֶּ֜סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701that was brought againהַמּוּשָׁ֨בha.mu.ShavH7725in the mouthבְּפִ֤יbe.FiH6310of your sacksאַמְתְּחֹֽתֵיכֶם֙'am.te.cho.tei.KhemH572, carry itagainתָּשִׁ֣יבוּta.Shi.vuH7725in your handבְיֶדְכֶ֔םve.yed.KhemH3027; peradventure it wasan oversightמִשְׁגֶּ֖הmish.GehH4870:

13Takeקָ֑חוּKa.chuH3947also your brotherאֲחִיכֶ֖ם'a.chi.KhemH251,and ariseוְק֖וּמוּve.Ku.muH6965,go againשׁ֥וּבוּShu.vuH7725unto the manהָאִֽישׁ׃ha.'IshH376:
