4And he commandedוַיְצַ֤וvay.TzavH6680them, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Thus shall ye speakתֹאמְר֔וּןtom.RunH559unto my lordלַֽאדֹנִ֖יla.do.NiH113EsauH6215;Thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֣'av.de.KhaH5650JacobH3290saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559thus, I have sojournedגַּ֔רְתִּיGar.tiH1481with Labanלָבָ֣ןla.VanH3837,and stayed thereוָאֵחַ֖רva.'e.CharH309until now:

5And I have oxenשׁ֣וֹרShorH7794,and donkeysוַחֲמ֔וֹרva.cha.MorH2543,flocksצֹ֖אןtzonH6629,and menservantsH5650,and womenservantsוְשִׁפְחָ֑הve.shif.ChahH8198:and I have sentוָֽאֶשְׁלְחָה֙va.'esh.le.ChahH7971to tellלְהַגִּ֣ידle.ha.GidH5046my lordH113,that I may findלִמְצֹא־lim.tzo'-H4672graceחֵ֖ןchenH2580in thy sightבְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃be.'ei.Nei.khaH5869.

6And the messengersהַמַּלְאָכִ֔יםha.mal.'a.KhimH4397returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙vai.ya.Shu.vuH7725to Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,We cameבָּ֤אנוּBa.nuH935to thy brotherאָחִ֙יךָ֙'a.Chi.khaH251Esauעֵשָׂ֔ו'e.SavH6215,and also he comethהֹלֵ֣ךְho.LekhH1980to meet theeH7125,and four hundredמֵא֥וֹתme.'otH3967menאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376with him.

7Then JacobH3290was greatlyמְאֹ֖דme.'OdH3966afraidוַיִּירָ֧אvai.yi.Ra'H3372and distressedוַיֵּ֣צֶרvai.Ye.tzerH3334:and he dividedוַיַּ֜חַץvai.Ya.chatzH2673the peopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971that waswith him, and the flocksהַצֹּ֧אןha.TzonH6629,and herdsהַבָּקָ֛רha.ba.KarH1241,and the camelsוְהַגְּמַלִּ֖יםve.hag.ge.ma.LimH1581,into twoלִשְׁנֵ֥יlish.NeiH8147bandsמַחֲנֽוֹת׃ma.cha.NotH4264;

8And saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,If Esauעֵשָׂ֛ו'e.SavH6215comeיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935to the oneהָאַחַ֖תha.'a.ChatH259companyH4264,and smite itוְהִכָּ֑הוּve.hi.Ka.huH5221,then the other companyH4264which is leftהַנִּשְׁאָ֖רha.nish.'ArH7604shall escapeלִפְלֵיטָֽה׃lif.lei.TahH6413.
