6Nevertheless they departedסָ֜רוּSa.ruH5493not from the sinsמֵחַטֹּ֧אותme.cha.TotH2403of the houseבֵּית־beit-H1004of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֛םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379,who made Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478sinהֶחֱטִ֥יאhe.che.ti'H2398, butwalkedהָלָ֑ךְha.LakhH1980therein: and there remainedעָמְדָ֖ה'a.me.DahH5975the groveהָאֲשֵׁרָ֔הha.'a.she.RahH842also in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃be.sho.me.RonH8111.)

7Neither did he leaveהִשְׁאִ֨ירhish.'IrH7604of the peopleעָ֗ם'AmH5971to Jehoahazלִיהוֹאָחָ֜זli.ho.'a.ChazH3059but fiftyחֲמִשִּׁ֤יםcha.mi.ShimH2572horsemenפָּֽרָשִׁים֙pa.ra.ShimH6571,and tenוַעֲשָׂ֣רָהva.'a.Sa.rahH6235chariotsרֶ֔כֶבRe.khevH7393,and tenוַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶתva.'a.Se.retH6235thousandאֲלָפִ֖ים'a.la.FimH505footmenרַגְלִ֑יrag.LiH7273;for the kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Syriaאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758had destroyedאִבְּדָם֙'i.be.DamH6them, and had madeוַיְשִׂמֵ֥םvay.si.MemH7760them like the dustכֶּֽעָפָ֖רke.'a.FarH6083by threshingלָדֻֽשׁ׃la.DushH1758.

9And Jehoahazיְהֽוֹאָחָז֙ye.ho.'a.ChazH3059sleptוַיִּשְׁכַּ֤בvai.yish.KavH7901with his fathersאֲבֹתָ֔יו'a.vo.TavH1;and they buriedוַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֖הוּvai.yik.be.Ru.huH6912him in Samariaבְּשֹׁמְר֑וֹןbe.sho.me.RonH8111:and Joashיוֹאָ֥שׁyo.'AshH3101his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his stead.

14Now Elishaוֶֽאֱלִישָׁע֙ve.'e.li.Sha'H477was fallen sickחָלָ֣הcha.LahH2470of his sicknessחָלְי֔וֹchal.YoH2483whereof he diedיָמ֖וּתya.MutH4191.And Joashיוֹאָ֣שׁyo.'AshH3101the kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478came downוַיֵּ֨רֶדvai.Ye.redH3381unto him, and weptוַיֵּ֤בְךְּvai.Ye.vekH1058over his faceפָּנָיו֙pa.NavH6440,and saidוַיֹּאמַ֔רvai.yo.MarH559,O my fatherאָבִ֣י׀'a.ViH1,my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1,the chariotרֶ֥כֶבRe.khevH7393of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and the horsemenוּפָרָשָֽׁיו׃u.fa.ra.ShavH6571thereof.

19And the manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430was wrothוַיִּקְצֹ֨ףvai.yik.TzofH7107with him, and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Thou shouldest have smittenלְהַכּ֨וֹתle.ha.KotH5221fiveחָמֵ֤שׁcha.MeshH2568or sixשֵׁשׁ֙sheshH8337timesפְּעָמִ֔יםpe.'a.MimH6471;then hadst thou smittenהִכִּ֥יתָhi.Ki.taH5221Syriaאֲרָ֖ם'a.RamH758till thou hadst consumedכַּלֵּ֑הka.LehH3615it:whereas now thou shalt smiteתַּכֶּ֥הta.KehH5221Syriaאֲרָֽם׃ ס'a.RamH758butthriceשָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִ֖יםsha.Losh pe.'a.MimH6471 H7969.
