19And the manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430was wrothוַיִּקְצֹ֨ףvai.yik.TzofH7107with him, and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Thou shouldest have smittenלְהַכּ֨וֹתle.ha.KotH5221fiveחָמֵ֤שׁcha.MeshH2568or sixשֵׁשׁ֙sheshH8337timesפְּעָמִ֔יםpe.'a.MimH6471;then hadst thou smittenהִכִּ֥יתָhi.Ki.taH5221Syriaאֲרָ֖ם'a.RamH758till thou hadst consumedכַּלֵּ֑הka.LehH3615it:whereas now thou shalt smiteתַּכֶּ֥הta.KehH5221Syriaאֲרָֽם׃ ס'a.RamH758butthriceשָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִ֖יםsha.Losh pe.'a.MimH6471 H7969.

20And Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֖ע'e.li.Sha'H477diedוַיָּ֥מָתvai.Ya.motH4191,and they buriedוַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֑הוּvai.yik.be.Ru.huH6912him. And the bandsוּגְדוּדֵ֥יu.ge.du.DeiH1416of the Moabitesמוֹאָ֛בmo.'AvH4124invadedיָבֹ֥אוּya.Vo.'uH935the landבָאָ֖רֶץva.'A.retzH776at the coming inבָּ֥אba'H935of the yearשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141.

21And it came to pass, as they were buryingקֹבְרִ֣יםkoe.RimH6912a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376,that, behold, they spiedרָא֣וּra.'UH7200a bandהַגְּד֔וּדha.ge.DudH1416of men;and they castוַיַּשְׁלִ֥יכוּvai.yash.Li.khuH7993the manהָאִ֖ישׁha.'IshH376into the sepulchreבְּקֶ֣בֶרbe.Ke.verH6913of Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֑ע'e.li.Sha'H477:and when the manהָאִישׁ֙ha.'IshH376was let downH3212,and touchedוַיִּגַּ֤עvai.yi.Ga'H5060the bonesבְּעַצְמ֣וֹתbe.'atz.MotH6106of Elishaאֱלִישָׁ֔ע'e.li.Sha'H477,he revivedוַיְחִ֖יvay.ChiH2421,and stood upוַיָּ֥קָםvai.Ya.komH6965on his feetרַגְלָֽיו׃ פrag.LavH7272.

22But Hazaelוַֽחֲזָאֵל֙va.cha.za.'ElH2371kingמֶ֣לֶךְMe.lekhH4428of Syriaאֲרָ֔ם'a.RamH758oppressedלָחַ֖ץla.ChatzH3905Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478all the daysיְמֵ֥יye.MeiH3117of Jehoahazיְהוֹאָחָֽז׃ye.ho.'a.ChazH3059.

23And Yhwhיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068was graciousוַיָּחָן֩vai.ya.ChanH2603unto them, and had compassionוַֽיְרַחֲמֵם֙vay.ra.cha.MemH7355on them, and had respectוַיִּ֣פֶןvai.Yi.fenH6437unto them, because ofלְמַ֣עַןle.Ma.'anH4616his covenantבְּרִית֔וֹbe.ri.ToH1285with Abrahamאַבְרָהָ֖ם'av.ra.HamH85,Isaacיִצְחָ֣קyitz.ChakH3327,and Jacobוְיַֽעֲקֹ֑בve.ya.'a.KoH3290,and wouldאָבָה֙'a.VahH14not destroyהַשְׁחִיתָ֔םhash.chi.TamH7843them, neither castהִשְׁלִיכָ֥םhish.li.KhamH7993he them from his presenceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440as yetעַד־'ad-H5704.

24So Hazaelחֲזָאֵ֣לcha.za.'ElH2371kingמֶֽלֶךְ־Me.lekh-H4428of Syriaאֲרָ֑ם'a.RamH758diedוַיָּ֖מָתvai.Ya.motH4191;and Ben–hadadH1130his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his stead.
