Zechariah 10
God Will Bless Judah and Ephraim
1Ask for 1rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain-- The Lord who 2makes the 3storm winds; And He will give them 4showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each person.2For the 56household idols speak deception, And the 7diviners see 8an illusion And tell 9deceitful dreams; They comfort in vain. Therefore the people 10wander like 11sheep, They are wretched because there is no shepherd.3“My 12anger is kindled against the shepherds, And I will punish the 13male goats; For the Lord of armies has 14visited His flock, the house of Judah, And will make them like His majestic horse in battle.4From 15them will come the 16cornerstone, From 17them the tent peg, From 18them the bow of 19battle, From 20them every tyrant, all of them together.5And they will be like warriors, 21Trampling down the enemy in the mud of the streets in battle; And they will fight, because the Lord will be with them; And the 22riders on horses will be put to shame.6And I will 23strengthen the house of Judah, And I will 24save the house of Joseph, And I will 2526bring them back, Because I have had 27compassion on them; And they will be as though I had 28not rejected them, For I am the Lord their God and I will 29answer them.7Ephraim will be like a warrior, And their heart will be joyful as if from wine; Indeed, their 30children will see it and be joyful, 31Their heart will rejoice in the Lord.8I will 32whistle for them and gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as 33numerous as they 3435were before.9When I 36scatter them among the peoples, They will 37remember Me in distant countries, And they with their children will live and come back.10I will 38bring them back from the land of Egypt And gather them from Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of 39Gilead and Lebanon 40Until 41no room can be found for them.11And they will pass through the 42sea of distress And He will strike the waves in the sea, So that all the depths of the 43Nile will dry up; And the pride of 44Assyria will be brought down, And the scepter of 45Egypt will depart.12And I will 46strengthen them in the Lord, And in His name 47they will walk,” declares the Lord.
