Zechariah 10
God Will Bless Judah and Ephraim
1Ask 1rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain-- The Lord who 2makes the 3storm clouds; And He will give them 4showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each man.2For the 5teraphim speak 6iniquity, And the 7diviners see 8lying visions And tell 9false dreams; They comfort in vain. Therefore the people 10wander like 11sheep, They are afflicted, because there is no shepherd.3“My 12anger is kindled against the shepherds, And I will punish the 13male goats; For the Lord of hosts has 14visited His flock, the house of Judah, And will make them like His majestic horse in battle.4From 15them will come the 16cornerstone, From 17them the tent peg, From 18them the bow of 19battle, From 20them every 21ruler, all of them together.5They will be as mighty men, 22Treading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle; And they will fight, for the Lord will be with them; And the 23riders on horses will be put to shame.6I will 24strengthen the house of Judah, And I will 25save the house of Joseph, And I will 2627bring them back, Because I have had 28compassion on them; And they will be as though I had 29not rejected them, For I am the Lord their God and I will 30answer them.7Ephraim will be like a mighty man, And their heart will be glad as if from wine; Indeed, their 31children will see it and be glad, 32Their heart will rejoice in the Lord.8I will 33whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as 34numerous as they 3536were before.9When I 37scatter them among the peoples, They will 38remember Me in far countries, And they with their children will live and come back.10I will 39bring them back from the land of Egypt And gather them from Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of 40Gilead and Lebanon 41Until 42no room can be found for them.11And they will pass through the 43sea of distress And He will strike the waves in the sea, So that all the depths of the 44Nile will dry up; And the pride of 45Assyria will be brought down And the scepter of 46Egypt will depart.12And I will 47strengthen them in the Lord, And in His name 48they will walk,” declares the Lord.
