16“But they, our fathersH1, 1actedH2102 arrogantlyH2102; They 23becameH7185H6203 stubbornH7185H6203 and would not listenH8085 to Your commandmentsH4687.17They refusedH3985 to listenH8085, And 4did not rememberH2142 Your wondrousH6381 deedsH6381 whichH834 You performedH6213 amongH5973 them; So they becameH7185H6203 stubbornH7185H6203 and 5appointedH5414 a leaderH7218 to returnH7725 to their slaveryH5659 in 6EgyptH4714. But You are a GodH433 7of forgivenessH5547, GraciousH2587 and compassionateH7349, SlowH750 to angerH639 and aboundingH7227 in 8mercyH2617; And You did not abandonH5800 them.18EvenH637 whenH3588 they 9madeH6213 for themselves A calfH5695 of castH4541 metalH4541 And saidH559, ‘ThisH2088 is your 10godH430 WhoH834 broughtH5927 you upH5927 from EgyptH4714,’ And committedH6213 greatH1419 blasphemiesH5007,1911You, in Your greatH7227 compassionH7356, Did not abandonH5800 them in the wildernessH4057; 12The pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 did not leaveH5493H4480H5921 them by dayH3119, To guideH5148 them on their wayH1870, NorH3808 the pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915, to lightH215 for them the wayH1870 in whichH834 they were to goH1980.20Instead, 13You gaveH5414 Your goodH2896 SpiritH7307 to instructH7919 them, You did not withholdH4513 Your mannaH4478 from their mouthH6310, And You gaveH5414 them waterH4325 for their thirstH6772.21Indeed, for 14fortyH705 yearsH8141 You providedH3557 forH3557 them in the wildernessH4057 and they were not lackingH2637; Their clothesH8008 did not wearH1086 outH1086, norH3808 did their feetH7272 swellH1216 up.22You also gaveH5414 them kingdomsH4467 and peoplesH5971, And allottedH2505 them to them as a 15boundaryH6285. 16They tookH3423 possessionH3423 of the landH776 of SihonH5511 17the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809 And the landH776 of OgH5747 the kingH4428 of BashanH1316.23You madeH7235 their sonsH1121 as numerousH7235 as 18the starsH3556 of heavenH8064, And You broughtH935 them into the landH776 WhichH834 You had toldH559 their fathersH1 to enterH935 and possessH3423.2419So their sonsH1121 enteredH935 and tookH3423 possessionH3423 of the landH776. And 20You subduedH3665 beforeH6440 them the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, the CanaanitesH3669, And You handedH5414H3027 them overH514 to them, with their kingsH4428 and the peoplesH5971 of the landH776, To doH6213 with them 21as they desiredH7522.2522They capturedH3920 fortifiedH1219 citiesH5892 and a 2324fertileH8082 landH127. They tookH3423 possessionH3423 of 25housesH1004 fullH4392 of everyH3605 goodH2898 thingH2898, CarvedH2672 outH2672 cisternsH953, vineyardsH3754, oliveH2132 grovesH2132, FruitH3978 treesH6086 in abundanceH7230. So they ateH398, were filledH7646 and 26putH8080 onH8080 fatH8080, And 27livedH5727 luxuriouslyH5727 in Your greatH1419 goodnessH2898.
