Nehemiah 9:16-25
But they and our fathersH1 dealtH2102 proudlyH2102, and hardenedH7185 their neckH6203, and hearkened notH3808 to thy commandmentsH4687,
and refusedH3985 to obeyH8085, neitherH3808 were mindfulH2142 of thy wondersH6381 that thou didst among them; but hardenedH7185 their neckH6203, and in their rebellionH4805 appointedH5414 a captainH7227 to returnH7725 to their bondageH5659: but thou art a GodH433 ready to pardon, graciousH2587 and fullH7218 of compassion, slowH750 to angerH639, and plenteous in mercy, and forsookest them notH3808.
YeaH3588, when they had madeH6213 them a molten calfH5695, and saidH559, This is thy GodH430 that broughtH5927 thee upH5927 outH1419 of EgyptH4714, and had wrought greatH1419 provocations;
yet thou in thy manifold merciesH7356 forsookest them notH3808 in the wildernessH4057: the pillarH5982 of cloudH6051 departedH5493 notH3808 from over them by dayH3119, to leadH5148 them in the wayH1870; neitherH3808 the pillarH5982 of fireH784 by nightH3915, to shew them lightH215, and the wayH1870 whereinH834 they should goH5493.
Thou gavest also thy goodH2896 spiritH7307 to instruct them, and withheldest notH3808 thy mannaH4478 from their mouthH6310, and gavest them waterH4325 for their thirstH6772.
Yea, fortyH705 yearsH8141 didst thou sustainH3557 them in the wildernessH4057, and they lackedH2637 nothingH3808; their clothesH8008 waxed notH3808 oldH8141, and their feetH7272 swelled notH3808.
Moreover thou gavest them kingdomsH4467 and peoplesH5971, which thou didst allotH5414 afterH776 their portions: soH5414 they possessedH3423 the landH776 of SihonH5511, evenH853 the landH776 of the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809, and the landH776 of OgH5747 kingH4428 of BashanH1316.
Their childrenH1121 also multipliedst thou as the starsH3556 of heavenH8064, and broughtest them intoH413 the landH776, concerning whichH834 thou didst sayH559 to their fathersH1, that they should goH935 in to possessH3423 it.
SoH6213 the childrenH1121 wentH935 in and possessedH3423 the landH776, and thou subduedst beforeH6440 them the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, the CanaanitesH3669, and gavest them intoH935 their handsH3027, with their kingsH4428, and the peoplesH5971 of the landH776, that they might doH6213 with them as they would.
And they tookH3920 fenced citiesH5892, and a fatH8080 landH127 and possessedH3423 housesH1004 fullH4392 of goodH2898 things, cisternsH953 hewnH2672 outH3423, vineyardsH3754, and oliveyards, and fruitH3978 treesH6086 in abundanceH7230: soH7230 they did eatH398, and were filledH7646, and becameH7646 fatH8080, and delighted themselves in thy greatH1419 goodnessH2898.
