Judges 10:7-18

7And the angerH639 of the LordH3068 burnedH2734 against IsraelH3478, and He 1soldH4376 them into the handsH3027 of the PhilistinesH6430, and into the handsH3027 of the sonsH1121 of AmmonH5983. 8And they 2afflictedH7492 and oppressedH7533 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 3that yearH8141; for eighteenH8083H6240 yearsH8141 they oppressed allH3605 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 whoH834 were beyondH5676 the JordanH3383, 4in GileadH1568 in the landH776 of the AmoritesH567. 9And the sonsH1121 of AmmonH5983 crossedH5674 the JordanH3383 to fightH3898 alsoH1571 against JudahH3063, BenjaminH1144, and the houseH1004 of EphraimH669, so that IsraelH3478 wasH6887 inH6887 greatH3966 difficultyH6887.

10Then the 5sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 criedH2199 outH2199 to the LordH3068, sayingH559, “We have sinnedH2398 against You, for indeed, we have abandonedH5800 our GodH430 and servedH5647 the BaalsH1168.” 11And the LordH3068 saidH559 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, “Did I not save you 6from the EgyptiansH4714, 7the AmoritesH567, 8the sonsH1121 of AmmonH5983, and the PhilistinesH6430? 12And when the SidoniansH6722, the AmalekitesH6002, and the MaonitesH4584 9oppressedH3905 you, you criedH6817 outH6817 to Me, and I savedH3467 you from their handsH3027. 13Yet 10you abandonedH5800 Me and servedH5647 otherH312 godsH430; thereforeH3651 I will noH3808 longerH3254 saveH3467 you. 1411GoH1980 and cryH2199 outH2199 to the godsH430 whichH834 you have chosenH977; let them saveH3467 you in the timeH6256 of your distressH6869.” 15Then the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 to the LordH3068, “We have sinnedH2398, 12doH6213 to us whateverH3605 13seemsH5869 goodH2896 to You; onlyH389 pleaseH4994 saveH5337 us thisH2088 dayH3117.” 1614So they removedH5493 the foreignH5236 godsH430 from amongH7130 them and servedH5647 the LordH3068; and 1516He couldH7114 noH7114 longerH7114 endureH7114 the miseryH5999 of IsraelH3478.

17Then the sonsH1121 of AmmonH5983 were summonedH6817, and they campedH2583 in GileadH1568. And the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 gatheredH622 together and campedH2583 in 17MizpahH4709. 18And the peopleH5971, the leadersH8269 of GileadH1568, saidH559 to oneH376 anotherH7453, “WhoH4310 is the manH376 whoH834 will beginH2490 to fightH3898 against the sonsH1121 of AmmonH5983? He shall becomeH1961 headH7218 over allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of GileadH1568.”
