Joshua 18:2-9
2But there remainedH3498 among the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 sevenH7651 tribesH7626 whoH834 had not dividedH2505 their inheritanceH5159. 3So JoshuaH3091 saidH559 to the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, “1HowH575 longH5704 will you 2putH7503 offH7503 enteringH935 to takeH3423 possessionH3423 of the landH776 whichH834 the LordH3068, the GodH430 of your fathersH1, has givenH5414 you? 4ProvideH3051 for yourselves threeH7969 menH376 from 3each tribeH7626 so that I may sendH7971 them, and that they may ariseH6965 and walkH1980 through the landH776 and writeH3789 a description of it accordingH6310 to their inheritanceH5159; then they shall 4returnH935 to me. 5And they shall divideH2505 it into sevenH7651 portionsH2506; 5JudahH3063 shall stayH5975 in its territoryH1366 on the southH5045, and the houseH1004 of JosephH3130 shall stayH5975 in their territoryH1366 on the northH6828. 6And you shall writeH3789 a description of the landH776 in sevenH7651 divisionsH2506, and bringH935 the description hereH2008 to me. 6Then I will castH3384 lotsH1486 for you hereH6311 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 our GodH430. 7For 7the LevitesH3881 haveH369 noH369 portionH2506 amongH7130 you, becauseH3588 the priesthoodH3550 of the LordH3068 is 8their inheritanceH5159. GadH1410, ReubenH7205, and the half-tribeH2677H7626 of ManassehH4519 also have receivedH3947 their inheritanceH5159 eastwardH4217 beyondH4480H5676 the JordanH3383, whichH834 MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of the LordH3068 gaveH5414 them.”
8Then the menH376 aroseH6965 and wentH1980, and JoshuaH3091 commandedH6680 those who wentH1980 to writeH3789 a description of the landH776, sayingH559, “GoH1980 and walkH1980 through the landH776 and writeH3789 a description of it, and returnH7725 to me; then I will castH7993 lotsH1486 for you hereH6311 beforeH6440 the LordH3068 in 9ShilohH7887.” 9So the menH376 wentH1980 and passedH5674 through the landH776, and wroteH3789 a description of it by citiesH5892 in sevenH7651 divisionsH2506 in a bookH5612; and they cameH935 to JoshuaH3091 at the campH4264 at ShilohH7887.
