Joshua 14:6-15
6Then the sonsH1121 of JudahH3063 approachedH5066 JoshuaH3091 in GilgalH1537, and 1CalebH3612 the sonH1121 of JephunnehH3312 the KenizziteH7074 saidH559 to him, “You knowH3045 the wordH1697 whichH834 the LordH3068 spokeH1696 to MosesH4872 the manH376 of GodH430 on accountH182 of 2you and me in Kadesh-barneaH6947. 7I was fortyH705 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when 3MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of the LordH3068 sentH7971 me from Kadesh-barneaH6947 to spyH7270 outH7270 the landH776, and I broughtH7725 wordH1697 backH7725 to him as it was in my heartH3824. 8Nevertheless my brothersH251 whoH834 wentH5927 upH5927 with me made the heartH3820 of the peopleH5971 4meltH4529 with fear; but 5I followedH310 the LordH3068 my GodH430 fullyH4390. 9So MosesH4872 sworeH7650 on that dayH3117, sayingH559, ‘6The landH776 on whichH834 your footH7272 has walkedH1869 shall certainlyH518H3808 be an inheritanceH5159 to you and to your childrenH1121 foreverH5704H5769, becauseH3588 you have followedH310 the LordH3068 my GodH430 fullyH4390.’ 10And nowH6258 beholdH2009, the LordH3068 has let me liveH2421, justH3512 asH3512 He spokeH1696, theseH2088 forty-fiveH705H2568 yearsH8141, from the timeH227 that the LordH3068 spokeH1696 thisH2088 wordH1697 to MosesH4872, whenH834 IsraelH3478 walkedH1980 in the wildernessH4057; and nowH6258 beholdH2009, I am eighty-fiveH8084 yearsH8141 oldH1121 todayH3117. 117I am stillH5750 as strongH2389 todayH3117 as I was on the dayH3117 MosesH4872 sentH7971 me; as my strengthH3581 was thenH227, so my strengthH3581 is nowH6258, for warH4421 and for 8goingH3318 outH3318 and comingH935 inH935. 12NowH6258 then, giveH5414 me thisH2088 hillH2022 countryH2022 about whichH834 the LordH3068 spokeH1696 on that dayH3117, for you heardH8085 on that dayH3117 that 9AnakimH6062 were thereH8033, with greatH1419 fortifiedH1219 citiesH5892; perhapsH194 the LordH3068 will be with me, and I will 10driveH3423 them outH3423 justH3512 asH3512 the LordH3068 has spokenH1696.”
13So JoshuaH3091 11blessedH1288 him and 12gaveH5414 HebronH2275 to CalebH3612 the sonH1121 of JephunnehH3312 as an inheritanceH5159. 14ThereforeH5921H3651, HebronH2275 becameH1961 the inheritanceH5159 of CalebH3612 the sonH1121 of JephunnehH3312 the KenizziteH7074 to thisH2088 dayH3117, becauseH3282H834 he followedH310 the LordH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 fullyH4390. 15Now the nameH8034 of HebronH2275 was previouslyH6440 13Kiriath-arbaH7153; for Arba was the greatestH1419 manH120 among the AnakimH6062. 14Then the landH776 wasH8252 atH8252 restH8252 from warH4421.
