1ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “For threeH7969 offensesH6588 of 1MoabH4124, and for fourH702, I will not 2revokeH7725 its punishment, BecauseH5921 he 3burnedH8313 the bonesH6106 of the kingH4428 of EdomH112 to limeH7875.2So I will sendH7971 fireH784 upon MoabH4124 And it will consumeH398 the citadelsH759 of 4KeriothH7152; And MoabH4124 will dieH4191 amid the 5panicH7588 of battle, Amid warH8643 criesH8643 and the soundH6963 of a trumpetH7782.3I will also eliminateH3772 the 67judgeH8199 from her midstH7130 And slayH2026 allH3605 her 8leadersH8269 with him,” saysH559 the LordH3068.
Judgment on Judah
4ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “For threeH7969 offensesH6588 of 9JudahH3063, and for fourH702, I will not revokeH7725 its punishment, BecauseH5921 they 10rejectedH3988 the LawH8451 of the LordH3068 And have not keptH8104 His statutesH2706; Their 1112liesH3577 also have ledH8582 them astrayH8582, Those whichH834 their 13fathersH1 followedH1980H310.5So I will 14sendH7971 fireH784 upon JudahH3063, And it will consumeH398 the citadelsH759 of JerusalemH3389.”
Judgment on Israel
6ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 saysH559: “For threeH7969 offensesH6588 of 15IsraelH3478, and for fourH702, I will not revokeH7725 its punishment, BecauseH5921 they 16sellH4376 the righteousH6662 for 17moneyH3701, And the needyH34 for a pair of sandalsH5275.7These who 18trampleH7602 the headH7218 of the 19helplessH1800 to the dustH6083 of the earthH776 Also 20divertH5186 the wayH1870 of the humbleH6035; And a 21manH376 and his fatherH1 22resortH1980 to the same 23girlH5291 SoH4616 asH4616 to profaneH2490 My holyH6944 nameH8034.8And on garmentsH899 24seizedH2254 asH2254 pledgesH2254 they stretchH5186 outH5186 besideH681 25everyH3605 altarH4196, And in the houseH1004 of their GodH430 they 26drinkH8354 the wineH3196 of those who have been finedH6064.
9“Yet it was I who destroyedH8045 the 27AmoriteH567 beforeH4480H6440 them, 28Though his 29heightH1363 was like the heightH1363 of cedarsH730 And he was as strongH2634 as the oaksH437; I also destroyedH8045 his 30fruitH6529 aboveH4480H4605 and his rootsH8328 belowH4480H8478.10And it was I who 31broughtH5927 you upH5927 from the landH776 of EgyptH4714, And ledH1980 you in the wildernessH4057 for 32fortyH705 yearsH8141 So that you might takeH3423 possessionH3423 of the landH776 of the 33AmoriteH567.11Then I 34raisedH6965 upH6965 someH4480 of your sonsH1121 to be prophetsH5030, And someH4480 of your youngH970 menH970 to be 35NaziritesH5139. Is thisH2088 not soH637, you sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478?” declaresH5002 the LordH3068.12“But you madeH8248 the NaziritesH5139 drinkH8248 wineH3196, And you commandedH6680 the prophetsH5030, sayingH559, ‘You 36shall not prophesyH5012!’13BeholdH2009, I am 37makingH5781 aH5781 rutH5781 in the ground beneathH8478 you, JustH3512 asH3512 a wagonH5699 makesH5781 aH5781 rutH5781 when filledH4392 with sheavesH5995.1438RefugeH4498 will be lostH6 from the swiftH7031, And the strongH2389 will not strengthenH553 his powerH3581, NorH3808 the 39warriorH1368 saveH4422 his 40lifeH5315.15The one who 41graspsH8610 the bowH7198 will not standH5975 his ground, The swiftH7031 of footH7272 will not escapeH4422, NorH3808 will the one who ridesH7392 the 42horseH5483 saveH4422 his 43lifeH5315.16Even the 44bravestH533H3820 among the warriorsH1368 will 45fleeH5127 nakedH6174 on that dayH3117,” declaresH5002 the LordH3068.
