2 Samuel 21:1-3
1Now there was 1a famineH7458 in the daysH3117 of DavidH1732 for threeH7969 yearsH8141, yearH8141 afterH310 yearH8141; and 2DavidH1732 soughtH1245 the presenceH6440 of the LordH3068. And the LordH3068 saidH559, “It is becauseH413 of SaulH7586 and his bloodyH1818 houseH1004, becauseH5921H834 he putH4191 the GibeonitesH1393 toH4191 deathH4191.”
2So the kingH4428 calledH7121 the GibeonitesH1393 and spokeH559 to them (now the GibeonitesH1393 were not of the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, but of the remnantH3499 of the AmoritesH567, and 3the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 had 4madeH7650 aH7650 covenantH7650 with them, but SaulH7586 had soughtH1245 to 5killH5221 them in his zealH7065 for the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063).
3DavidH1732 saidH559 to the GibeonitesH1393, “WhatH4100 should I doH6213 for you? And howH4100 can I makeH3722 amendsH3722, so that you will blessH1288 6the inheritanceH5159 of the LordH3068?”
