Revelation 6:8-11

8I looked, and behold, 1an 2ashen horse; and the one who sat on it had the name 3Death, and 4Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, 5to kill with sword, and famine, and 6plague, and by the wild animals of the earth.

9When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw 7underneath the 8altar the 9souls of those who had been killed 10because of the word of God, and because of the 11testimony which they had maintained; 10and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “12How long, O 13 14Lord, 15holy and true, 16will You refrain from 17judging and avenging our blood on 18those who live on the earth?” 11And a 19white robe was given to each of them; and they were told that they were to 20rest for a little while longer, 21until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers and sisters who were to be killed even as they had been, was 22completed also.
