Revelation 4:2-10

2Immediately I was 1in the 2Spirit; and behold, 3a throne was standing in heaven, and 4someone was sitting on the throne.

3And He who was sitting was like a 5jasper stone and a 6sardius in appearance; and there was a 78rainbow around the throne, like an 9emerald in appearance.

410Around the throne were 11twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw 12twenty-four elders 13sitting, clothed in 14white garments, and 15golden crowns on their heads.

5Out from the throne came 16flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were 17seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are 1819the seven spirits of God;

6and before the throne there was something like a 20sea of glass, like crystal; and in the 21center and 22around the throne, 23four living creatures 24full of eyes in front and behind.

725The first living creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle.

8And the 26four living creatures, each one of them having 27six wings, are 28full of eyes around and within; and 29day and night 30they do not cease to say, “31Holy, holy, holy is the 32Lord God, the Almighty, 33who was and who is and who 34is to come.”

9And when the living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to Him who 35sits on the throne, to 36Him who lives forever and ever,
