Revelation 21:4-27
4and He will 1wipe away every tear from their eyes; and 2there will no longer be any death; 3there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; 4the first things have passed away.”
5And 5He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am 6making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for 7these words are faithful and true.” 6Then He said to me, “89It is done. I am the 10Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. 11I will give water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the 12water of life, without cost. 713The one who overcomes will inherit these things, and 14I will be his God and he will be My son. 815But for the cowardly, and 16unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and sexually immoral persons, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part will be in 17the lake that burns with fire and 18brimstone, which is the 19second death.”
920Then one of the seven angels who had the 21seven bowls, 22full of the 23seven last plagues, came and spoke with me, saying, “24Come here, I will show you the 25bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10And 26he carried me away 2728in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me 29the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11having 30the glory of God. Her 31brilliance was like a very valuable stone, like a 32stone of 33crystal-clear jasper. 1234It had a great and high wall, 3536with twelve 37gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on the gates, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14And the wall of the city had 38twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the 39twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15The one who spoke with me had a 40gold measuring 41rod to measure the city, its 42gates, and its wall. 16The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the 43rod, 44twelve thousand stadia; its length, width, and height are equal. 17And he measured its wall, 45144 cubits, by 46human 47measurements, which are also 48angelic measurements. 18The material of the wall was 49jasper; and the city was 50pure gold, like 51clear 52glass. 1953The foundation stones of the city wall were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was 54jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, 55emerald; 20the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, 56sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21And the twelve 57gates were twelve 58pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was 59pure gold, like transparent 60glass.
22I saw 61no 62temple in it, for the 63Lord God the Almighty and the 64Lamb are its 65temple. 23And the city 66has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for 67the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the 68Lamb. 2469The nations will walk by its light, and the 70kings of the earth 71will bring their glory into it. 25In the daytime (for 72there will be no night there) 73its gates 74will never be closed; 26and 75they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27and 76nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those 77whose names are 78written in the Lamb’s book of life.
