Revelation 18:12-18

cargo of 1gold, silver, precious 2stones, and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; every kind of citron wood, every article of ivory, and every article made from very valuable wood, 3bronze, iron, and marble;

cinnamon, 4spice, incense, perfume, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle, sheep, and cargo of horses, carriages, 5slaves, and 6human lives.

The fruit 7you long for has left you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and people will no longer find them.

The 8merchants of 9these things, who became rich from her, will 10stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,

saying, ‘11Woe, woe, 12the great city, she who 13was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and 14adorned with gold, precious 15stones, and pearls;

for in 16one hour such great wealth has been laid 17waste!’ And 18every shipmaster and every 19passenger and sailor, and all who 20make their living by the sea, 21stood at a distance,

and were 22crying out as they 23saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘24What city is like 25the great city?’
