Philemon 1:4-10

4 1I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5because I 2hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the 3saints; 6and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective 4through the 5knowledge of every good thing which is in you 6for the sake of Christ. 7For I have had great 7joy and comfort in your love, because the 8hearts of the 9saints have been 10refreshed through you, brother.

8Therefore, 11though I have 12enough confidence in Christ to order you to do what is 13proper, 9yet for love’s sake I rather 14appeal to you--since I am such a person as Paul, 15an 16old man, and now also 17a prisoner of 18Christ Jesus-- 10I 19appeal to you for my 20 21son 22 23Onesimus, whom I 24fathered in my 25imprisonment,
