Philippians 2:5-15
51Have this attitude 2in yourselves which was also in 3Christ Jesus, 6who, as He already 4existed in the 5form of God, 6did not consider equality with God something to be 7grasped, 7but 89emptied Himself by taking the form of a 10bond-servant and 1112being born in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, 13He humbled Himself by becoming 14obedient to the point of death: 15death 16on a cross. 917For this reason also God 18highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him 19the name which is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus 20every knee will bow, of 21those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is 22Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12So then, my beloved, 23just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own 24salvation with 25fear and trembling; 13for it is 26God who is at work in you, both to 27desire and to work 28for His good pleasure.
14Do all things without 29complaining or arguments; 15so that you will 30prove yourselves to be 31blameless and innocent, 32children of God above reproach in the midst of a 33crooked and perverse generation, among whom you 3435appear as 36lights in the world,
