Micah 7:7-20

7But as for me, I will 1be on the watch for the Lord; I will 2wait for the God of my salvation. My 3God will hear me.8 4Do not rejoice over me, 5enemy of mine. Though I fall I will 6rise; Though I live in darkness, the Lord is a 7light for me.

9I will endure the rage of the Lord Because I have sinned against Him, Until He 8pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the 9light, And I will look at His 10 11righteousness.10Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who 12said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her; 13At that time she will 14be 15trampled down Like mud of the streets.11It will be a day for 16building your walls. On that day your boundary will be extended.12It will be a day when 17they will 18come to you From Assyria and the cities of Egypt, From Egypt even to the Euphrates River, Even from sea to sea and mountain to mountain.13And the earth will become a 19wasteland because of her inhabitants, On account of the 20fruit of their deeds.

14 21Shepherd Your people with Your 22scepter, The flock of Your 23possession Which lives by itself in the woodland, In the midst of 24a fruitful field. Let them feed in 25Bashan and Gilead 26As in the days of old.15“As in the days when you went out from the land of Egypt, I will show 27 28you miracles.”16Nations 29will see and be ashamed Of all their might. They will 30put their hand on their mouth, Their ears will be deaf.17They will 31lick up dust like a snake, Like 32 33reptiles of the earth. They will come 34trembling out of their 35fortresses; To the Lord our God they will come in 36trepidation, And they will be afraid of You.18Who is a God like You, who 37pardons wrongdoing And passes over a rebellious act of the 38remnant of His 39possession? He does not 40retain His anger forever, Because He 41delights in mercy.19He will again take pity on us; 42He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will 43cast all 44their sins Into the depths of the sea.20You will give 45 46truth to Jacob And favor to Abraham, Which You 47swore to our forefathers From the days of old.
