Micah 7:7-20
7But as for me, I will 1watch expectantly for the Lord; I will 2wait for the God of my salvation. My 3God will hear me.84Do not rejoice over me, O 5my enemy. Though I fall I will 6rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the Lord is a 7light for me.
9I will bear the indignation of the Lord Because I have sinned against Him, Until He 8pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me out to the 9light, And I will see His 1011righteousness.10Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who 12said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look on her; 13At that time she will 14be 15trampled down Like mire of the streets.11It will be a day for 16building your walls. On that day will your boundary be extended.12It will be a day when 17they will 18come to you From Assyria and the cities of Egypt, From Egypt even to the 19Euphrates, Even from sea to sea and mountain to mountain.13And the earth will become 20desolate because of her inhabitants, On account of the 21fruit of their deeds.
1422Shepherd Your people with Your 23scepter, The flock of Your 24possession Which dwells by itself in the woodland, In the midst of 25a fruitful field. Let them feed in 26Bashan and Gilead 27As in the days of old.15“As in the days when you came out from the land of Egypt, I will show 2829you miracles.”16Nations 30will see and be ashamed Of all their might. They will 31put their hand on their mouth, Their ears will be deaf.17They will 32lick the dust like a serpent, Like 33reptiles of the earth. They will come 34trembling out of their 35fortresses; To the Lord our God they will come in 36dread And they will be afraid before You.18Who is a God like You, who 37pardons iniquity And passes over the rebellious act of the 38remnant of His 39possession? He does not 40retain His anger forever, Because He 41delights in 42unchanging love.19He will again have compassion on us; 43He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will 44cast all 45their sins Into the depths of the sea.20You will give 4647truth to Jacob And 48unchanging love to Abraham, Which You 49swore to our forefathers From the days of old.
