Matthew 6:24-34

24“1No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and 23wealth.

25“4For this reason I say to you, 5do not be 6worried about your 7life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? 268Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they? 27And which of you by 9worrying can 10add a single 11day to his 12life’s span? 28And why are you 13worried about clothing? Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth, 29yet I say to you that not even 14Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the 15grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? 16You of little faith! 31Do not 17worry then, saying, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear for clothing?’ 32For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for 18your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33But 19seek first 20His kingdom and His righteousness, and 21all these things will be 22provided to you.

34“So do not 23worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will 24worry about itself. 25Each day has enough trouble of its own.
