Matthew 4:13-25

13and leaving Nazareth, He came and 1settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali. 14This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:15“2The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, 3By the way of the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, Galilee of the 4Gentiles--165The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light, And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned.”

176From that time Jesus began to 7preach and say, “8Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

189Now as Jesus was walking by 10the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, 11Simon, who was called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19And He said to them, “12Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.” 20Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. 21Going on from there He saw two other brothers, 1314James the son of Zebedee, and his brother 15John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets; and He called them. 22Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

23Jesus was going 16about in all of Galilee, 17teaching in their synagogues and 18proclaiming the 19gospel of the kingdom, and 20healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

24And the news about Him spread 21throughout Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and severe pain, 22demon-possessed, people with 23epilepsy, and people who were 24paralyzed; and He healed them. 25Large crowds 25followed Him from Galilee and 26the Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and from 27beyond the Jordan.
