Luke 6:19-31
19And all the 1people were trying to 2touch Him, because 3power was coming from Him and healing them all.
20And He raised His eyes toward His disciples and began saying, “4Blessed are 5you who are poor, for 6yours is the kingdom of God. 21Blessed are 7you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are 8you who weep now, for you will laugh. 229Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they 1011exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man. 23Rejoice on that day and 12jump for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers used to 13treat the prophets 14the same way. 24But woe to 15you who are rich, for 16you are receiving your comfort in full. 25Woe to you who 17are well-fed now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. 26Woe to you when all the people speak well of you; for their fathers used to 18treat the 19false prophets the same way.
27“But I say to you who hear, 20love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, 21pray for those who are abusive to you. 2922Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your 23cloak, do not withhold your 24tunic from him either. 30Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 312526Treat people the same way you want them to 27treat you.
