Luke 6:19-31

19And all the 1people were trying to 2touch Him, for 3power was coming from Him and healing them all.

20And turning His gaze toward His disciples, He began to say, “4Blessed are 5you who are poor, for 6yours is the kingdom of God. 21Blessed are 7you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 228Blessed are you when men hate you, and 9ostracize you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man. 23Be glad in that day and 10leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For 11in the same way their fathers used to 12treat the prophets. 24But woe to 13you who are rich, for 14you are receiving your comfort in full. 25Woe to you who 15are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. 26Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to 16treat the 17false prophets in the same way.

27“But I say to you who hear, 18love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, 19pray for those who 20mistreat you. 2921Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your 22coat, do not withhold your 23shirt from him either. 30Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 312425Treat others the same way you want 26them to treat you.
