Luke 17:1-10

1Now He said to His disciples, “1It is inevitable that 2stumbling blocks come, but woe to one through whom they come! 23It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he 4is thrown into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to 5sin. 36Be on your guard! 7If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4And if he sins against you 8seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

59The apostles said to 10the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6But 11the Lord said, “If you 12had faith 13the size of 14a mustard seed, you could say to this 15mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would 16obey you.

7“Now which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him after he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and recline at the table to eat’? 8On the contrary, will he not say to him, ‘17Prepare something for me to eat, and properly 18clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and 19afterward you 20may eat and drink’? 9He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? 10So you too, when you do all the things which were commanded you, say, ‘We are 21unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’”
