John 6:59-64
59These things He said 1in the synagogue as He taught 2in Capernaum.
60So then many of His 3disciples, when they heard this, said, “4This statement is very 5unpleasant; who can listen to it?” 61But Jesus, 6aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them, “Is this 78offensive to you? 62What then if you see 9the Son of Man 10ascending to where He was before? 6311It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh provides no benefit; 12the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life. 64But there are 13some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus 14knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and 15who it was who would 16betray Him.
