John 4:3-8
3He left 1Judea and went away 2again to Galilee. 4And He had to pass through 3Samaria. 5So He came to a city of 4Samaria called Sychar, near 5the parcel of land that 6Jacob gave to his son Joseph; 6and Jacob’s well was there. So Jesus, tired from His journey, was just sitting by the well. It was about 7the sixth hour.
7A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” 8For His 8disciples had gone away to 9the city to buy food.
