John 15:18-21
“1If the world hates you, 2you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but 3I chose you out of the world, 4because of this the world hates you.
Remember the word that I said to you, ‘5A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, 6they will persecute you as well; if they 7followed My word, they will follow yours also.
But all these things they will do to you 8on account of My name, 9because they do not know the One who sent Me.
