John 1:2-9

21He was in the beginning with God. 32All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him 3not even one thing came into being that has come into being. 44In Him was life, and the life was 5the Light of mankind. 5And 6the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not 7grasp it.

6A man 8came, one sent from God, and his name was 9John. 710He came 1112as a witness, to testify about the Light, 13so that all might believe through him. 81415He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.

916This was 17the true Light 18that, coming into the world, enlightens every person.
