Joel 2:21-32
211Do not fear, land; shout for joy and rejoice, For the Lord has done 2great things.22Do not fear, animals of the field, For the 3pastures of the wilderness have turned green, For the tree has produced its fruit, The fig tree and the vine have yielded 4in full.23So shout for joy, you 5sons of Zion, And 6rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has 7given you 8the early rain for your vindication. And He has brought down for you the rain, The 9early and 1011latter rain 12as before.24The threshing floors will be full of grain, And the vats will 13overflow with the new wine and oil.25“Then I will compensate you for the years That the 14swarming 15locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust-- My great army which I sent among you.26You will have plenty to 16eat and be satisfied, And you will 17praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has 18dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will 19never be put to shame.27So you will 20know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am the Lord your God And there is 21no other; And My people will never be 22put to shame.
28“2324It will come about after this That I will 25pour out My Spirit on all 2627mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, Your old men will have dreams, Your young men will see visions.29And even on the 28male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.30I will 2930display wonders in the sky and on the earth, Blood, fire, and columns of smoke.31The 31sun will be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the 32great and awesome day of the Lord comes.32And it will come about that 33everyone who calls on the name of the Lord Will 34be saved; For 35on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There will be those who 36escape, Just as the Lord has said, Even among the 37survivors whom the Lord calls.
