James 4:8-12

81Come close to God and He will come close to you. 2Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and 3purify your hearts, you 45double-minded. 96Be miserable, and mourn, and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into gloom. 107Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

118Do not speak against one another, 9brothers and sisters. The one who speaks against a brother or sister, or 10judges his brother or sister, speaks against 11the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not 12a doer of the law but a judge of it. 12There is only one 13Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is 14able to save and to destroy; but 15who are you, 16judging your neighbor?
