James 2:2-5
For if a man comes into your 1assembly with a gold ring and is dressed in 2bright clothes, and a poor man in 3dirty clothes also comes in,
and you 4pay special attention to the one who is wearing the 5bright clothes, and say, “You sit here in a good place,” and you say to the poor man, “You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool,”
have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges 6with evil 7motives?
Listen, 8my beloved brothers and sisters: did 9God not choose the poor 10of this world to be 11rich in faith and 12heirs of the kingdom which He 13promised to those who love Him?
