Hosea 1:1-2
1The word of the Lord which came to 1Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of 2Uzziah, 3Jotham, 4Ahaz, and 5Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of 6Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, “7Go, take for yourself a wife 8inclined to infidelity, and children of infidelity; for 9the land commits flagrant infidelity, 10abandoning the Lord.”
