Hosea 1:1-2
1The word of the Lord which came to 1Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of 2Uzziah, 3Jotham, 4Ahaz and 5Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of 6Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2When the Lord first spoke through Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea, “7Go, take to yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry; for 8the land commits flagrant harlotry, 9forsaking the Lord.”
