Galatians 2:7-15
7But on the contrary, seeing that I had been 1entrusted with the 2gospel 3to the uncircumcised, just as 4Peter had been 5to the circumcised 8(for He who was at work for Peter in his 6apostleship 7to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles), 9and recognizing 8the grace that had been given to me, 910James and 1112Cephas and John, who were 13reputed to be 14pillars, gave to me and 15Barnabas the 16right 17hand of fellowship, so that we might 18go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. 10They only asked us to remember the poor--19the very thing I also was eager to do.
11But when 20Cephas came to 21Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he 22stood condemned. 12For prior to the coming of some men from 2324James, he used to 25eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he began to withdraw and separate himself, 26fearing those from the circumcision. 13The rest of the Jews joined him in hypocrisy, with the result that even 27Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy. 14But when I saw that they 28were not 29straightforward about 30the truth of the gospel, I said to 31Cephas in the presence of all, “If you, being a Jew, 32live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?33
15“We are 34Jews by nature and not 35sinners from the Gentiles;
