Ezekiel 7:23-27
23‘1Make the 2chain, for the land is full of 34bloody crimes, and the city is 5full of violence.
24Therefore, I will bring the worst of the 6nations, and they will take possession of their houses. I will also put an end to the 7pride of the strong ones, and their 8holy places will be profaned.
25When anguish comes, they will seek 9peace, but there will be none.
2610Disaster will come upon disaster and 11rumor will be added to rumor; then they will seek a 12vision from a prophet, but the 13Law will be lost from the priest, and 14counsel from the elders.
27The king will mourn, the prince will be 15clothed in horror, and the hands of the people of the land will 16tremble. I will deal with them because of their conduct, and by their judgments I will judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord.’”
