Ezekiel 20:12-13

12Also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a 1sign between Me and them, so that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

13But the house of Israel 2rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, 3which, if 4a person 5follows them, then he will live by them; and they greatly profaned My 6Sabbaths. Then I 7resolved to 8pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.
