Ezekiel 20:12-13
12Also I gave them My sabbaths to be a 1sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.
13But the house of Israel 2rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My statutes and they rejected My ordinances, 3by which, if a man 4observes them, he will live; and My 5sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I 6resolved to 7pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.
