Deuteronomy 6:3-9

3Now Israel, you shall listen and be careful to do them, so that 1it may go well for you and that you may increase greatly, just as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has 2promised you, in 3a land flowing with milk and honey.

4“4Hear, Israel! The Lord is our God, the 5Lord is one! 5And 6you shall love the Lord your God 7with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 8These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7And 9you shall repeat them diligently to your sons and speak of them when you sit in your house, when you walk on the road, when you lie down, and when you get up. 8 10You shall also tie them as a 11sign to your 12hand, and they shall be as 13frontlets 14on your forehead. 9 15You shall also write them on the 16doorposts of your house and on your gates.
