Deuteronomy 32:5-18

512They have acted corruptly against Him, They are not His children, because of their defect; 3But are a perverse and crooked generation.6Is this what you 4do to the Lord, 5You foolish and unwise people? 6Is He not your Father who has purchased you? 7He has made you and established you.7Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. 8Ask your father and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you.89When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of 10mankind, He set the boundaries of the peoples 11According to the number of the 12sons of Israel.913For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.1014He found him in a desert land, And in the howling wasteland of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as 15the 16apple of His eye.1117As an eagle stirs up its nest, And hovers over its young, 18He spread His wings, He caught them, He carried them on His pinions.1219The Lord alone guided him, 20And there was no foreign god with him.1321He had him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; 22And He had him suck honey from the rock, And 2324oil from the flinty rock,14Curds of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs And rams, the breed of Bashan, and of goats, 25With the best of the wheat; And you drank wine of the 26blood of grapes.

15“27But 28Jeshurun became fat and kicked-- You have become fat, thick, and obstinate-- 29Then he abandoned God 30who made him, And 31rejected 32the Rock of his salvation.1633They made Him jealous with strange gods; 34With abominations they provoked Him to anger.1735They sacrificed to demons, who were not God, 36To gods whom they have not known, 37New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not know.18You forgot 38the Rock who fathered you, 39And forgot the God who gave you birth.
