Deuteronomy 32:5-18

512They have acted corruptly toward Him, They are not His children, because of their defect; 3But are a perverse and crooked generation.6Do you thus 4repay the Lord, 5O foolish and unwise people? 6Is not He your Father who has bought you? 7He has made you and established you.7Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. 8Ask your father, and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you.89When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of 10man, He set the boundaries of the peoples 11According to the number of the sons of Israel.912For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance.1013He found him in a desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as 14the pupil of His eye.1115Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, That hovers over its young, 16He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions.1217The Lord alone guided him, 18And there was no foreign god with him.1319He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; 20And He made him suck honey from the rock, And 21oil from the flinty rock,14Curds of cows, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, And rams, the breed of Bashan, and goats, 22With the finest of the wheat-- And of the 23blood of grapes you drank wine.

15“24But 25Jeshurun grew fat and kicked-- You are grown fat, thick, and sleek-- 26Then he forsook God 27who made him, And scorned 28the Rock of his salvation.1629They made Him jealous with strange gods; 30With abominations they provoked Him to anger.1731They sacrificed to demons who were not God, 32To gods whom they have not known, 33New gods who came lately, Whom your fathers did not dread.18You neglected 34the Rock who begot you, 35And forgot the God who gave you birth.
