Acts 14:15-18

15and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also 1men, of the same nature as you, 2preaching the gospel to you, to turn from these 34useless things to a 5living God, who 6made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them. 167In past generations He 8permitted all the 9nations to 10go their own ways; 17yet 11He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and 12gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, 13satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” 18And even by saying these things, only with difficulty did they restrain the crowds from offering sacrifices to them.
