Acts 14:14-18
14But when 1the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard about it, they 2tore their 3robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out 15and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also 4men, of the same nature as you, 5preaching the gospel to you, to turn from these 67useless things to a 8living God, who 9made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them. 1610In past generations He 11permitted all the 12nations to 13go their own ways; 17yet 14He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and 15gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, 16satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.” 18And even by saying these things, only with difficulty did they restrain the crowds from offering sacrifices to them.
