2 Thessalonians 2:4-12

4who opposes and exalts himself above 1 2every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, 3displaying himself as being God. 5Do you not remember that 4while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6And you know 5what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7For 6the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only 7 8He who now restrains will do so until 9He is 10removed. 8Then that lawless one 11will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate 12with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the 13appearance of His 14coming; 9that is, the one whose 15coming is in accord with the activity of 16Satan, with all power and false 17 18signs and wonders, 10and with 19all the deception of wickedness for 20those who perish, because they did not accept the love of 21the truth so as to be saved. 11For this reason 22God 23will send upon them 24a 25deluding influence so that they will believe 26what is false, 12in order that they all may be 27judged who 28did not believe the truth, but 29 30took pleasure in wickedness.
